WOL: CM Punk’s favor, AEW heads to Dynasty

I am back with another Sunday edition of Wrestling Observer Live, talking about all the latest news in professional wrestling.
I start off talking about Friday’s WWE SmackDown from London that had a lot of ramifications for WWE WrestleMania 41. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and CM Punk closed the show with a contract signing, Paul Heyman told Punk he has his WrestleMania main event as the match will go on last on one of the nights.
However, Punk revealed that was not the favor he asked from Heyman in exchange for being part of Reigns’ team in the War Games match. I talk about what this means and speculate on the many different ways this all plays out.
With the exclusive negotiation period between UFC and ESPN coming up in a couple of weeks, I talk about the possibility of Netflix or another streaming service getting those rights and pushing ESPN and other mainstream platforms out of live sports in the future.
I also run down the card for next weekend’s AEW Dynasty and the build from Saturday’s AEW Collision. I speculate on the end game for the Death Riders story and why the best ending for this will be Jon Moxley retaining and eventually dropping the title to Will Ospreay, possibly at All In.
Plus, Rey Fenix coming to SmackdDown, TNA departures, and more!
