Larry Matysik of St. Louis Wrestling returns today for a one-hour discussion on pro-wrestling — and MMA — past, present and future. I originally booked Larry because he made a comment that the Tito Ortiz vs. Ken Shamrock program was booked almost exactly like they used to book programs for Sam Muchnick’s territory in the 60s, 70s and early 80s. We’ll discuss that, plus a number of other subjects including: how pro-wrestling has evolved and seems to be evolving; the Bruiser Brody book that is currently being edited; some funny Bruiser stories; a potential St. Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame; the return of Vince Russo as a booker; his thoughts on Angle’s return; the 1982 Ric Flair/Gene Kiniski/Dick the Bruiser program that had remarkable similarities to Tito vs. Ken; run-ins and screwjobs in pro-wrestling and why they’re no longer effective; and TONS more. Plus we’ve got a news update looking at the finalized line-up for the PRIDE PPV in Las Vegas tomorrow. A packed show!
