The question of who should be the “top guy” in WWE going forward has been definitively answered.
Ronda Rousey followed up on her incredible debut performance from WrestleMania with an even better showing at Sunday night’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view. In what was only her second televised bout and her first singles match ever, Rousey proved that she belongs in the ring.
As a whole, Rousey’s match against Nia Jax wasn’t quite as good as her WrestleMania debut, but she was put in a much tougher position this time. For as choreographed and as practiced as it was, there’s no way to replicate having a singles match in front of a live crowd for the first time. There’s so much room for things to go wrong when Jax is the most experienced person in a match.
