The second time will hopefully be the charm for Sheamus as the former WWE Champion underwent surgery Wednesday to once again repair a broken nose suffered during in-ring action.

It’s unknown how long he will be out of action for.

He first got his nose broken in June after taking a Humberto Carrillo forearm in an early-June Raw match, getting surgery later that week. He has been wearing a protective mask ever since, but got it broken once again on the June 20th Raw in a match against Jeff Hardy after it fell off.

He lost to U.S. Champion Damien Priest in a no DQ, no countout match on Monday’s Raw to blow off their feud after losing in a triple threat to Priest and Hardy at Sunday’s Extreme Rules.

Whenever he does return, it could be on SmackDown instead of Raw as WWE kicks off their two-night draft this Friday.
