WWE’s Sami Zayn receiving stem cell therapy in Mexico

To help recover from some nagging injuries, Sami Zayn is undergoing stem cell therapy in Mexico.

RejuvStem Regenerative Medicine in Cancun posted on social media that WWE wrestlers Zayn and Ivar are both at their clinic to receive stem cell treatment. The clinic is a popular destination for wrestlers with Rey Mysterio, Big E, Shotzi, MVP, and Matt Cardona among those who have been treated there.

“You never know who is going to show up here at RejuvStem Cancun! Today we have WWE Superstar @samizayn joining WWE Superstar @ivar_wwe to receive stem cell therapy for a career’s worth of nagging injuries,” the clinic wrote on Instagram.

“Each superstar has spent over 20 years respectfully performing all around the world. At this stage of their respective careers, both IVAR as well as SAMI recognize the importance of taking care of their bodies so they can continue performing for the WWE Universe for years to come.”

Zayn dropped the Intercontinental title to Bron Breakker at SummerSlam. He then lost to Breakker in a two-out-of-three falls rematch on the August 12 episode of Raw.

On Raw, Zayn is aligned with Jey Uso. Uso is set to compete in WWE’s Intercontinental title number one contender’s tournament that starts on Raw this coming Monday.

Ivar noted this May that he was out of action due to a “very serious” injury.
