The Friday, March 12th edition of WWE SmackDown on Fox averaged 2.171 million viewers while also seeing a uptick in the key 18-49 demo.

While the viewership was down 3.6% from the prior week, the show averaged a 0.61 rating in 18-49, up 1.7% from the prior week.

The demo trailed only ABC’s Shark Tank on the networks, but beat everything on cable and was the best number for the show since February 10th. Viewership-wise, SmackDown was the sixth-ranked show out of seven on the major networks, beating a repeat of CBS’s Clarice.

In 18-34, Smackdown averaged a 0.35 rating, down 5.4% from the prior week, also good for second on TV in that category.

As compared to the same week last year, the show was down 12.1% in total viewers and 12.9% in 18-49. They were also down 12.5% in 18-34 with the consistent drop across all demos indicating the average age of viewership was likely almost identical to last year.
