WWE SmackDown video highlights: Who tried to attack Roman Reigns?

Last night’s SmackDown ended with a cliffhanger angle as a mystery attacker tried to target Roman Reigns.

As Reigns was walking to a backstage interview to reveal who he was going to challenge at SummerSlam, scaffolding and equipment fell on him. Reigns was physically okay but mentally shaken up as the show went off the air.

Before that, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston (w/ Big E and Xavier Woods) faced off with United States Champion AJ Styles (w/ Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) in a non-title champion vs. champion main event.

Trish Stratus appeared on the King’s Court with Jerry Lawler. She was interrupted by Charlotte Flair, with their match being made official for SummerSlam after Stratus accepted Charlotte’s challenge for the pay-per-view.

Also on last night’s show, Ali defeated Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a non-title match, Bayley & Ember Moon teamed together ahead of SummerSlam, Kevin Owens took on Drew McIntyre, and The Fiend distracted Finn Balor during his match against Dolph Ziggler.
