WWE SmackDown video highlights: Triple H sends a message to The Rock

After the events of WWE’s WrestleMania 40 press conference, Triple H had a message for The Rock on SmackDown last night.
Triple H declared that he’s the person who makes the decisions in WWE. While not mentioning The Rock by name, Triple H took a clear shot at him, saying that The Rock needs to know his role. Triple H said The Rock tried to assert his authority when he doesn’t really have any.
Triple H reiterated that Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes will main event WrestleMania 40 — and it doesn’t matter if you don’t like that decision:
I felt like there was some confusion in the air. Maybe some people don’t know their role. So I wanted to come out here and, I don’t know, just set the record straight because I felt there are people that went out there and tried to assert their authority when they don’t really have any.
Because here’s the thing, I really don’t care where you sit. There is one thing that is abundantly clear here, whether people like them or they don’t like them, the answers come from one place and one place only. And right now, you are looking at him. So let me just say this: in the main event of WrestleMania 40, the biggest WrestleMania of all time, Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event against Cody Rhodes.
There are some people back there, that decision will disappoint them. Maybe they won’t like that decision. But here’s the thing – it doesn’t matter if you don’t like that decision. So with that said, welcome to the road to WrestleMania.
Neither The Rock nor Reigns appeared on SmackDown last night, but WWE announced that they’ll be back on the show next Friday.
It was also announced that there will be an Elimination Chamber match in Perth, Australia to determine World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins’ challenger for WrestleMania 40. Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton became the first two wrestlers to qualify for that Chamber match.
Bianca Belair earned her spot in the women’s Elimination Chamber match with a victory over Michin on SmackDown. Belair and Becky Lynch have qualified so far. The winner gets a shot at the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania.
