WWE SmackDown video highlights: Samoa Joe attacks AJ Styles
SmackDown’s side of the card for SummerSlam continued to take shape on last night’s episode.
The WWE Championship and SmackDown Women’s title matches were confirmed for the pay-per-view, with AJ Styles set to defend against Samoa Joe and Becky Lynch challenging Carmella. Joe attacked Styles during the reveal of his next challenger, while Lynch defeated Carmella in a non-title match.
The show ended with Daniel Bryan attempting to crash The Miz and Maryse’s premiere party for “Miz & Mrs,” but Miz laid Bryan out with the Skull Crushing Finale after throwing a fake baby at him.
Also on SmackDown, Paige fired James Ellsworth, The New Day advanced in the tournament to decide The Bludgeon Brothers’ challengers for SummerSlam, and Andrade “Cien” Almas vs. Rusev led to more problems between Lana and Aiden English.
