WWE SmackDown video highlights: Reigns denies Cena’s challenge

Universal Champion Roman Reigns denied John Cena’s challenge last night and claimed that he won’t be seeing him in the main event of SummerSlam.

Last night’s SmackDown opened with Cena calling out Reigns. He instead got Paul Heyman, who promised that Reigns would give an answer by the end of the night.

Reigns responded to the challenge during last night’s main event segment. Reigns called Cena a nostalgia act and said that — “like missionary position” — it’s the same thing every single night.

After Reigns said that his answer to Cena’s challenge is no, Finn Balor came out to the ring and confronted Reigns. Balor asked if Reigns was interested in a challenge from him. After the crowd chanted “Roman’s scared,” Reigns accepted Balor’s challenge.

Reigns vs. Balor wasn’t officially announced and it wasn’t made clear when the match will be taking place.

Last night’s SmackDown took place from two different locations. In addition to the show being held at Cleveland, Ohio’s Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, there were two matches from the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami, Florida. Bianca Belair defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Carmella at Rolling Loud, while Angelo Dawkins faced Chad Gable.
