WWE SmackDown video highlights: Randy Orton signs SmackDown contract

Randy Orton is now officially a member of the WWE SmackDown roster.
With general managers Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce both attempting to sign him, Orton opted to sign an exclusive SmackDown contract last night. In storyline, Orton made the decision so he could get revenge on Roman Reigns and the rest of The Bloodline for causing the back injury that forced him out of action for more than a year.
The main event segment of last night’s SmackDown featured SmackDown GM Aldis and Raw GM Pearce both trying to persuade Orton into signing with them. Paul Heyman interrupted the segment and warned Orton that The Bloodline would make his decision for him.
Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso then attacked Orton, but LA Knight ran out to make the save. Knight and Sikoa brawled to the back, leaving Orton and Jimmy alone in the ring. Orton laid out Jimmy with an RKO and then signed the SmackDown contract.
“Hey Paul, you can call Roman Reigns,” Orton said. “And you can tell him: Daddy’s back.”
As Aldis celebrated by raising Orton’s arm in the air, Orton dropped Aldis with an RKO too.
