WWE SmackDown video highlights: Nakamura makes the save for Orton

As the build to Clash of Champions continued, it was revealed on last night’s episode of SmackDown that Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura would be facing Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn at the pay-per-view.

The match was revealed in the opening segment, with the storyline being that Orton would be teaming with a partner of his choosing. Orton faced Zayn in the main event of SmackDown in a match where Kevin Owens was supposed to be neutralized by being handcuffed to the ring rope. Orton got the win despite Owens freeing himself. Owens and Zayn attacked him after, but Nakamura made the save and was confirmed as Orton’s partner for the PPV.

Daniel Bryan asked if Shane McMahon was done punishing Owens and Zayn, but Shane announced himself as the special guest referee for their match at Clash of Champions and added a stipulation where Owens and Zayn will be fired from WWE if they lose.
