WWE SmackDown video highlights: Mustafa Ali pins Daniel Bryan

Mustafa Ali teamed with AJ Styles and pinned WWE Champion Daniel Bryan in the main event of this week’s episode of SmackDown.

Ali & Styles faced Bryan & Andrade “Cien” Almas, with Styles taking out Almas with the Phenomenal Forearm and Ali pinning Bryan after hitting the 054. It had been announced earlier in the show that Ali is now a member of the SmackDown roster.

Following up on the storyline where the McMahon family is “taking over” as the authority figures on both Raw and SmackDown, it was confirmed that Paige is no longer SmackDown’s general manager. Shane McMahon addressed the roster in a backstage segment to start the show and said that Paige will still be around in a new role, though details of that role haven’t been revealed.

Vince McMahon also made an appearance, interrupting Asuka, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair and making a SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Asuka and Naomi for the episode. He also took part in a segment with The Miz, leading to Miz & Mandy Rose vs. R-Truth & Carmella.
