Two tournaments kicked off on last night’s episode of SmackDown.

SmackDown’s first-round matches in the King of the Ring and Queen’s Crown tournaments both took place last night. Sami Zayn and Finn Balor advanced to the King of the Ring semifinals by defeating Rey Mysterio and Cesaro in their respective matches, while Zelina Vega and Carmella booked their semifinal spots in the Queen’s Crown tournament with wins over Toni Storm and Liv Morgan.

Zayn vs. Balor and Vega vs. Carmella are set for next Friday’s “Supersized” edition of SmackDown on FS1.

Raw’s tournament matches will begin on Monday night. Kofi Kingston vs. Jinder Mahal and Xavier Woods vs. Ricochet are the remaining first-round matches in King of the Ring. Doudrop vs. Natalya and Dana Brooke vs. Shayna Baszler are the Queen’s Crown matches.

A new match for Crown Jewel was confirmed last night as Edge challenged Seth Rollins to face him inside of Hell in a Cell. The builds to Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship and Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Crown Jewel were also furthered.
