WWE SmackDown video highlights: John Cena makes Payback announcement

John Cena was back on WWE television last night with an announcement to make regarding Payback.

In his return to WWE, Cena revealed that he will be the host of Payback. The pay-per-view is taking place at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh tonight (September 2).

Cena said that, every time he comes home to WWE, it gets better for him. Whenever he steps into a WWE ring, Cena is going to thank the fans for everything they’ve given him and continue to give him. Cena stated that he just found out that he’ll be hosting Payback. Cena promised to do his best in giving back to the fans.

The segment led to Jimmy Uso interrupting Cena. Jimmy said the crowd was there to see him — a real top star. While addressing why he betrayed his twin brother, Jimmy again claimed that he did it out of love. He didn’t want Jey Uso to be corrupted like Roman Reigns or John Cena.

Jimmy said Cena and Reigns are exactly alike. All they do is take. The only difference is that Cena does it with a smile. Cena responded by telling Jimmy that the wrong Uso quit WWE.

Jimmy went to blindside Cena with a superkick, but Cena caught it and laid out Jimmy with an Attitude Adjustment.

SmackDown ended with Jimmy apparently wanting to rejoin The Bloodline. After getting into it with AJ Styles earlier in the show, Jimmy interfered to help Solo Sikoa defeat Styles. Sikoa went to give Jimmy a Samoan Spike after the match but was stopped by Paul Heyman.
