WWE SmackDown video highlights: John Cena & LA Knight join forces

John Cena officially has a tag team partner for Fastlane.

One week after the reveal was originally supposed to take place, LA Knight was confirmed as Cena’s partner on SmackDown last night. The main event angle of the episode saw Knight save Cena from an attack by The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Knight then signed the contract to make things official. It will be Cena & Knight vs. Uso & Sikoa at Fastlane on Saturday, October 7.

Uso and Sikoa wreaked havoc throughout last night’s show and were willing to take out anyone who might team up with Cena. In storyline, Cena was late arriving to the show because of travel delays.

Cena finally made it to SmackDown and said he was willing to face The Bloodline by himself if that’s what it took. Uso and Sikoa then launched an attack on Cena and attempted to prevent him from even making it to Fastlane. As Sikoa was about to give Cena a splash through the announce table, Knight’s music hit. Knight ran down and helped Cena fend off both Uso and Sikoa.

As Knight signed the contract for Fastlane, Cena looked shocked at what was happening.

Knight was able to return to SmackDown last night after having missed the previous week’s episode due to testing positive for COVID-19.
