WWE SmackDown video highlights: John Cena, Charlotte Flair return

A couple of big returns took place as SmackDown wrapped up 2022.
John Cena returned to the ring last night, teaming with Kevin Owens to defeat Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn. After Cena took out Reigns with an Attitude Adjustment, Owens hit a stunner on Zayn and pinned him to get the victory. Zayn taking the loss is sure to create issues for him within The Bloodline going forward.
Charlotte Flair didn’t just make her surprise return last night — she became the new SmackDown Women’s Champion in the process. When Ronda Rousey retained the title against Raquel Rodriguez, Charlotte confronted Rousey after the match. Even though Shayna Baszler tried to talk her out of it, Rousey agreed to face Charlotte for the title immediately. Charlotte reversed an armbar into a stacked-up pin to win the championship.
