WWE SmackDown video highlights: Charlotte Flair returns

After being scheduled to be cleared to return yesterday, Charlotte Flair was back on SmackDown last night.
Charlotte appeared on the show for the first time since undergoing surgery in June to repair a ruptured breast implants issue that she had been dealing with since before WrestleMania. She returned in the opening segment, making the save for Becky Lynch during an attack by Carmella.
Carmella vs. Charlotte was made for the main event, with Charlotte defeating her and getting added to the SmackDown Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam. The storyline is that Lynch, who will also be in the triple threat title match at the pay-per-view, was happy that Charlotte is back but disappointed about her winning.
Also on SmackDown, Samoa Joe sent a “personal message” to AJ Styles ahead of SummerSlam, Daniel Bryan and The Miz had another heated exchange, Cesaro & Sheamus advanced to next week’s tag team tournament finals, and Zelina Vega made her main roster in-ring debut.
