WWE SmackDown video highlights: Black Friday invitational battle royal

A Black Friday invitational battle royal took place on last night’s SmackDown, but it was overshadowed by an announcement that was made at the end of the show.
Sami Zayn won the battle royal to become the new number one contender to Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship. It initially appeared that Jeff Hardy had won, but Zayn threw Hardy out as he was celebrating. Zayn came back into the ring at the end of the match after having not been eliminated.
There were rumors throughout last night’s show that Brock Lesnar’s suspension had been lifted. That was confirmed when Kayla Braxton was interviewing Zayn after the battle royal. Braxton got the news that Lesnar has been reinstated and will return to SmackDown next Friday.
One wrestler who was excluded from the invitational battle royal was Drew McIntyre. After his name wasn’t on the list of entrants, McIntyre came down with his sword Angela as the battle royal was starting. Adam Pearce then made his way out, and it was said that McIntyre had left on his own accord during a commercial break.
