WWE SmackDown video highlights: Asuka wins battle royal

With Becky Lynch returning to television, a triple threat tables, ladders, and chairs match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship was made official for WWE TLC.

Lynch’s return opened the show. She said she was putting herself back in the game and called out Charlotte Flair. They went back and forth over Charlotte’s match against Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series. Lynch said Charlotte went from copying her old man to copying “The Man,” and Charlotte accused Lynch of copying Ric Flair and riding Charlotte’s coattails.

At first, Paige announced Lynch vs. Charlotte for TLC, but the storyline led to the rest of the women’s division coming out when Paige said no other challenger has the desire Charlotte does. A battle royal was made for the main event, and Asuka last eliminated Sonya Deville to make it Lynch vs. Charlotte vs. Asuka at TLC.

AJ Styles also returned to SmackDown and cut a promo responding to Daniel Bryan ahead of their WWE Championship rematch at TLC.

Samoa Joe interrupted a segment where Jeff Hardy was celebrating his 20th anniversary with WWE. Randy Orton laid out Rey Mysterio for the second straight week, SmackDown Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus faced The Usos in a non-title match, Kofi Kingston took on The Miz, and Shinsuke Nakamura attacked Rusev before their match could get started.
