WWE SmackDown ratings up for Hell in a Cell go-home show

Friday night’s Hell in a Cell go-home edition of SmackDown averaged 1.939 million viewers on Fox, up 3.2 percent from the previous week. Despite being up week-over-week, this is SmackDown’s third-lowest audience to date in 2022.
SmackDown led all network programming with a 0.47 rating in the 18-49 demo, up 9.3 percent from the previous week. That ties the show’s highest rating in that category since April 15.
For the first time in several weeks, SmackDown had the benefit of not going against the NBA playoffs. Friday’s NHL playoff game on ESPN also did not air against the first 40 minutes of SmackDown.
SmackDown also led the major networks with a 0.26 rating in the 18-34 demo, though Univision programming did finish ahead of it.
As compared to the same week in 2021, SmackDown’s overall viewership was up three percent but its 18-49 demo rating was down six percent.
Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for SmackDown, as well as the 10-week averages prior to this week in both categories. This week’s show was down 5.7 percent in viewers and down 2.1 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
