WWE SmackDown ratings down, ranks behind Olympic trials

Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown averaged 2.256 million viewers on Fox, down 3.4 percent from the previous week. It’s still the third-largest audience total for the show since April 19.

SmackDown finished second on the primetime network charts with a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s down 9.6 percent from the previous week but is the second-highest rating the show has done in that category since April 12.

The show went head-to-head with the Olympic trials on NBC, which averaged 5.48 million viewers and drew a 0.80 rating in 18-49, topping all of television in both categories.

As compared to the same week in 2023, SmackDown’s overall viewership was down 10.1 percent while its 18-49 rating was down 4.4 percent. It’s the sixth straight week — and the eighth of the last 10 — that SmackDown’s audience has been down year-over-year.
