WWE SmackDown ratings down from previous week’s high numbers

One week after drawing its best viewership in nearly two years, SmackDown ratings were back closer to normal on Friday night.

Friday’s episode of SmackDown averaged 2.207 million viewers on Fox, down 12.9 percent from the previous week. This is the lowest viewership total for SmackDown since September 2.

In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown led network television (and finished second on all of TV) on Friday with a 0.54 rating. That’s down 14.3 percent from the previous week but is still SmackDown’s third-highest rating in that category since July 22. College football on ESPN was the highest-rated show on TV in 18-49, drawing a 0.56 rating.

SmackDown also led the English-language networks with a 0.30 rating in the 18-34 demo.

As compared to the same week in 2021, SmackDown was down two percent in total viewers and down 12.9 percent in the 18-49 demo.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for SmackDown, along with the 10-week averages in both categories. This week’s show was up 1.5 percent in total viewers and up 3.8 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
