Seth Rollins says no diagnosis on knee injury yet, expects to miss ‘extended’ time
While there are still conflicting reports over whether his injury was fully legitimate or not, Seth Rollins is saying that he expects to be out of action for an extended period of time.
Rollins guest hosted The Rich Eisen Show this afternoon and gave an update on his status after appearing to suffer a significant knee injury against LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He was evaluated on Monday when WWE Raw was in Birmingham, Alabama, but Rollins said there is no firm diagnosis yet because there was too much swelling in his knee. In a week or two, he’ll be evaluated again in Los Angeles and hopes to have a clearer picture.

Despite not having a concrete diagnosis, Rollins said he feels like he’s going to be on the shelf for an “extended” absence. He noted that, in his mind, he’s thinking about whether he’ll be able to make it back in time for WrestleMania season.
Mentally, Rollins said he’s in a good place and is trying to find silver linings like being able to spend more time with his daughter. He’s confident that he’ll physically be able to come back from the injury after it is eventually treated.
The Rollins vs. Knight match had a spot where Rollins went for a Lionsault but landed on his feet when Knight rolled out of the way. Rollins said his injury happened on that landing, and he heard his knee pop and buckle. He received medical attention immediately after that but got up so Knight could hit him with the BFT and get the win. Rollins was then helped to the back after the match.
Since SNME, there has been conflicting information over whether the injury was a work, a shoot, or an angle to cover for an existing injury Rollins had going into the match.
The 39-year-old Rollins said the timing of this injury feels similar to when he tore his ACL in 2015 since he was the WWE Champion at that time. Currently, he is in possession of the Money in the Bank briefcase and can cash it in for a title shot whenever he wants. Rollins leads a faction on Raw that includes Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed and is managed by Paul Heyman.
Rollins, who is a big Chicago Bears fan, is guest hosting The Rich Eisen Show both today and tomorrow. It’s a national sports talk show that airs every weekday.
