WWE NXT’s new logo appears to have been revealed.
Rapper Wale tweeted a video with the new NXT logo on Friday night. The video, which is set to Wale’s song “Down South,” was retweeted by WWE’s Twitter accounts and Paul “Triple H” Levesque. The video ends with “NXT coming” appearing on the screen.
In a change from NXT’s previous branding, the logo features many colors instead of the brand’s traditional black and gold color scheme.
WWE president and chief revenue officer Nick Khan recently said in an interview with Ariel Helwani that a “complete revamp” would be coming to NXT.
“We’re doing a complete revamp on NXT, led by Triple H, Paul Levesque, who is really one of the architects of the original NXT,” Khan said. “In terms of an NXT rebrand, look for it in the next couple of weeks. It’s gonna have a whole new look, it’s gonna have a whole new feel.”
Khan also spoke about WWE taking a different approach in the way that they recruit talent. “We believe, because of lot of the ‘indie wrestlers’ if you will have come through our system and are in our system with SmackDown and Raw now, we don’t want to just keep doing that same thing,” Khan said. “We want to look elsewhere for great young talent.”
Next Tuesday’s NXT episode was taped at the WWE Performance Center earlier this week.
