WWE reveals ‘Horror Show’ tagline for Extreme Rules

WWE has revealed the tagline for July’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
The PPV is now referred to as “WWE Extreme Rules: The Horror Show” on WWE.com. The event is taking place on Sunday, July 19.
Two matches have been confirmed for Extreme Rules thus far. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will defend his title against Dolph Ziggler, while Sasha Banks will challenge Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship.
It was announced this week that Ziggler and Robert Roode have been traded to Raw. Ziggler appeared on Monday’s Raw to set up his match against McIntyre for Extreme Rules.
Banks & Bayley retained their Women’s Tag Team titles against The IIconics on Raw this Monday. Banks cut a promo after the match acting like she was going to challenge Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship — but then revealed it was Asuka who she was challenging. Bayley and Banks attacked Asuka after she came out to the ring. Asuka tried to fight back, but Banks hit a backstabber and put her in the Banks Statement.
Bray Wyatt returned to WWE television on SmackDown last week and continued his feud with Universal Champion Braun Strowman ahead of a potential title match at Extreme Rules.
Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, Extreme Rules was supposed to take place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. “The WWE Extreme Rules event originally scheduled for Sunday, July 19 in San Jose, CA has been postponed to a future pay-per-view event in San Jose in 2021,” the arena announced. “Original tickets will be honored for the new date with more information available in the near future. Extreme Rules will still stream live on WWE Network on Sunday, July 19.”
