WWE Raw video highlights: Zayn serves as special outside referee

Sami Zayn served as the outside referee for Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens in the main event of last night’s Raw.

The match was set up in the opening segment of the show, which included Baron Corbin announcing that he’ll get to pick the special guest referee for his match for Rollins’ Universal title at Stomping Grounds. WWE has yet to reveal who the referee will be.

Zayn wanted to be the ref and hoped that Corbin would repay the favor if he becomes champion. After Rollins hit Zayn when landing a suicide dive on Owens, Zayn wanted to disqualify Rollins. The bell was then called for after Rollins grabbed Zayn.

Rollins attacked Zayn after the match, countered Corbin when Corbin went to hit him with a chair, and then laid out Zayn with chair shots and a stomp as Corbin watched on from the ramp.

Paul Heyman appeared on last night’s Raw and said they’ll no longer be giving advance warning for when Brock Lesnar will be cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

Also on Raw, The Revival defeated Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins and The Usos to win the Raw Tag Team titles, Lacey Evans & Alexa Bliss teamed against Becky Lynch & Bayley, and Ricochet, Braun Strowman & The Miz took on Samoa Joe, Bobby Lashley & Cesaro.
