WWE Raw video highlights: Season premiere
One week after the conclusion of the WWE Draft, Raw’s season premiere episode took place last night.
The show opened with The Fiend and Alexa Bliss before they were surrounded by RETRIBUTION. After the lights went out and The Fiend and Bliss disappeared, The Hurt Business made their way down for an eight-man tag match against RETRIBUTION.
In their second-ever match, RETRIBUTION lost to The Hurt Business last night when Bobby Lashley submitted T-Bar with a full nelson. The Fiend then appeared again and laid out Mustafa Ali, T-Bar, Mace, and Slapjack.
Ali cut a promo later in the show where it was revealed that he was the SmackDown hacker. Ali said he did it because he wants the entire world to know that this sick place is infecting everyone with greed and corruption. Because of that, good and talented people are being forgotten. Ali said he found them and united them. Ali said that whether it’s The Fiend, The Hurt Business, or anyone else on Raw that tries to stop the truth from being heard, RETRIBUTION will shut them down.
Last night’s Raw was also the brand’s go-home show for Hell in a Cell. The main event segment saw Randy Orton deliver a message to WWE Champion Drew McIntyre from inside of Hell in a Cell. McIntyre then confronted Orton and used bolt cutters to get inside of the cell. When Orton grabbed a steel chair and McIntyre entered the cell, the show went off the air.
Plus, it was announced last night that Jeff Hardy vs. Elias has been added to Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.
