WWE Raw video highlights: Orton vs. Christian unsanctioned match

While it was only a minute long, last night’s Raw featured Christian’s first match since 2014.

After defeating Edge in the “Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” at Backlash, Orton opened last night’s show until being confronted by Christian. Orton said he knows Christian isn’t medically cleared, but he has a way around that. He challenged Christian to an unsanctioned match. Orton said that if Christian didn’t accept it would just prove what everyone already knows — that he’s nothing more than a coward.

Christian accepted the challenge later in the show. Ric Flair tried to talk him out of it backstage and as the match was about to start, but Christian said he has to do this.

After the bell rang, Flair gave Christian a low blow. Orton then hit a punt and pinned Christian to get the win. Orton apologized and said he didn’t mean for this to happen, but this is his livelihood and he can’t let Christian interrupt or destroy it.

The angle then continued with Christian being stretchered out after the show went off the air.
