WWE Raw video highlights: Falls count anywhere main event
A falls count anywhere match for the Intercontinental Championship headlined the first Raw of 2019.
Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins to retain his title, with Ambrose winning after Bobby Lashley attacked Rollins. The show had opened with a brawl between Rollins and Lashley, which ended up leading into a six-man tag where Rollins, John Cena & Finn Balor defeated Lashley, Ambrose & Drew McIntyre.
Cena returned to Raw and announced that he’ll be an entrant in this year’s Royal Rumble. Brock Lesnar also returned to build up his Universal Championship defense against Braun Strowman at the Royal Rumble, and Hulk Hogan appeared as WWE paid tribute to “Mean” Gene Okerlund.
Sasha Banks was set up as Ronda Rousey’s challenger for the Royal Rumble, defeating Nia Jax in a Raw Women’s Championship number one contender’s match.
The program between Bobby Roode & Chad Gable and The Revival for the Raw Tag Team titles doesn’t appear to be over. The Revival challenged for Roode & Gable’s titles in a lumberjack match and lost when Scott Dawson was pinned despite having his foot on the bottom rope.
