WWE Raw video highlights: Cody Rhodes announcement

Cody Rhodes is headed to the Royal Rumble.

A series of videos focusing on Rhodes’ recovery concluded with Rhodes announcing on last night’s Raw that he will make his return to the ring at the Royal Rumble. Rhodes said that, ever since returning to WWE, he’s made it crystal clear that his goal is the WWE Championship. He’ll attempt to get one step closer to that goal by winning the men’s Royal Rumble match.

The Royal Rumble will be nearly eight months since Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell 2022 despite entering the match with a torn pec.

Rhodes tweeted last night: “Finish the story”

Last night’s Raw also set the stage for next Monday’s special 30th anniversary edition of the show. Bobby Lashley won a six-way elimination match to earn a shot at United States Champion Austin Theory next week, Becky Lynch and Bayley will face off inside of a steel cage, Judgment Day will challenge for The Usos’ Raw Tag Team titles, and there will be an “Acknowledgement Ceremony” for Roman Reigns featuring all generations of The Bloodline.

The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, and Kurt Angle will be among the legends appearing next week.
