WWE Raw video highlights: Cody Rhodes addresses challenging Roman Reigns

Two days after his Royal Rumble win, Cody Rhodes addressed challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania.

A promo by Rhodes opened last night’s Royal Rumble fallout edition of Raw. Stating that he has a great deal of respect for the champion, Rhodes sent his first message to Reigns ahead of WrestleMania.

“WrestleMania is in 62 days. Roman, that might just be 62 days for you. It is 62 days for the rest of my life,” Rhodes said. “At WrestleMania, undesirable has already become undeniable, but undeniable remains uncrowned. And on that night, it ends. At WrestleMania, pull up a chair, sit wherever the hell you want — on that night, somebody else is going to be eating. And after WrestleMania, you can be the Tribal Chief, you can be the Head of the Table, you can be the biggest superstar in the world — but the one thing that Roman Reigns will not be is the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion.”

Rhodes was then confronted by The Judgment Day, setting up a match between Rhodes and Finn Balor for the main event. Rhodes got the victory after Edge and Beth Phoenix helped him neutralize Judgment Day.

Women’s Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley also spoke on last night’s Raw. Ripley revealed that she’ll be challenging Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.

Plus, Seth Rollins, Johnny Gargano, and Bronson Reed became the first three challengers to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match for Austin Theory’s United States Championship match at February’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
