The Raw after WrestleMania, as expected, did the show’s second biggest number of the year, behind January’s Legends Night episode.

Raw averaged 2.03 million viewers and drew a 0.68 rating in 18-49. Last year’s Raw after WrestleMania, on a much tougher night due to the huge ratings for news, did 2.10 million viewers and a 0.70 in 18-49. Two years ago the similar show did 2.93 million viewers.

The show opened strong and dropped 12 percent from hour one to hour three, which is a normal level of drop, but worse than the show has been doing. But much of the drop came with people over 50, so with the younger audience, it kept the viewers well.

As compared to last week, Raw was up 19 percent in viewers and 31 percent in 18-49, as well as 68 percent in 18-34.

For a comparison with last year’s show the day after Mania, the audience was down three percent in viewers, three percent in 18-49, and up 11 percent in 18-34.

Raw was first on cable in women 18-49, men 18-49, 18-34, women 12-34, men-12-34, and 25-54, losing only to news shows and Rock the Boat in 50+.

In total viewers, Raw finished sixth, behind five news shows, its best showing in months.

In 18-34, Raw beat everything on television but American Idol, and if you look at the difference between cable and broadcast, on a real ratings basis, it beat that as well. It beat everything but American Idol and The Voice in 18-49, but based on realistic percentages, beat both of those shows easily.

As far as the first-to-third hour drops, women 18-49 dropped four percent, well under usual, men 18-49 dropped seven percent, teenage girls were down two percent, teenage boys were up nine percent, and the real first-to-third hour drop was over 50, down 14 percent.

The return of Miz & Mrs, airing right after Raw on the USA Network, averaged 705,000 viewers. It drew a 0.26 in 18-49, finishing in 12th place on the night on cable.

The three hours were:

  • 8 p.m. 2.13 million viewers
  • 9 p.m. 2.09 million viewers
  • 10 p.m. 1.86 million viewers
