WWE Raw ratings up slightly despite tough NBA competition
Even with a taped show and going against the most-watched NBA game so far this season on cable, Raw was actually up two percent from last week’s low mark, doing 2.74 million viewers.
It was the second lowest number since the end of football season, but all things considered, it should be viewed as a success given the NBA competition.
The big story was the lack of a third-hour drop, even with a main event that was advertised as Bobby Lashley vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Elias. There was a big second-hour drop when the Warriors vs. Rockets game began and most likely it would have been among the lowest numbers in history had the game started at 8 p.m. instead of 9 p.m., which helped out a little.
The first game of the NBA Western Conference finals did 8.82 million viewers.
There was also an NHL playoff game on NBC Sports Network last night with the Las Vegas Golden Knights vs. Winnipeg Jets that did 1.24 million viewers.
Raw was fifth for the night on cable.
The three hours were:
- 8 p.m. 2.90 million viewers
- 9 p.m. 2.69 million viewers
- 10 p.m. 2.63 million viewers
