WWE Raw ratings remain strong for Superstar Shakeup

The Superstar Shakeup edition of Raw continued the show’s strong numbers, doing 3.62 million viewers.

While the number was down 11 percent from last week’s Raw after WrestleMania, it was up six percent from last year’s Superstar Shakeup show that did 3.42 million viewers.

Raw was third for the night on cable, trailing an NBA playoff game (3.65 million viewers) and the mired-in-controversy Hannity (3.70 million) on Fox News.

These type of shows always do well in ratings and SmackDown is also expected tonight to do well over the usual levels, and perhaps the biggest SmackDown number of the year.

Next week will be a strong gauge as to where things are really at, but based on trends, the record lows that took place last year during the NBA playoffs are not likely to be repeated this year, although ratings will decline as they get deeper into the playoffs.

With them advertising a big surprise, who turned out to be Bobby Roode, in the final segment, the audience stayed better in the third hour with only a seven percent second-to-third hour drop. The daylight savings time trend continued with the second hour being the highest rated.

The three hours were:

• 9 p.m. 3.75 million viewers
• 10 p.m. 3.48 million viewers
