WWE Raw ratings hold up well for Bobby Lashley title win fallout

Raw last night slightly increased its audience from last week and was slightly down in the key demos, averaging 1.90 million overall viewers and a 0.55 rating in 18-49.

Raw was first for the night in 18-49, third in women 18-49, first in men 18-49 to the point it doubled everything else on cable, first in 18-34, second in women 12-34 , and first in males 12-34.

Raw placed ninth, behind eight news shows, in total viewers, which is the best the show has done in recent memory.

As far as the male demo went, it was helped by not having an NBA game as competition.

The first-to-third hour drop of 15 percent was higher than usual, but that’s not a surprise when the Bobby Lashley vs. Miz WWE Championship rematch was in the first hour.

As compared to last week, Raw was up one percent in viewers, down five percent in 18-49, and down 18 percent in 18-34, but last week’s 18-34 number was unusually high.

Drops from one year ago were 12 percent in viewers, 20 percent in 18-49. and 37 percent in 18-34. In all of those cases, that’s better than has been the usual year-to-year drop for Raw. So by 2021 standards the show performed well in the ratings.

The first-to-third hour drops were 14 percent with women 18-49, seven percent with men 18-49, 24 percent with teenage girls, 35 percent with teenage boys, and 12 percent over 50. The over 50 audience in particular was way up from most of the Raw episodes this year.

Charlotte Flair proved to be a draw as Steve Austin’s guest as the Straight Up Steve Austin episode that premiered on the USA Network after Raw averaged 753,000 overall viewers and drew a 0.25 rating in 18-49, putting it in sixth place for the night in 18-49.

The three hours of Raw were:

  • 8 p.m. 2.03 million viewers
  • 9 p.m. 1.92 million viewers
  • 10 p.m. 1.74 million viewers
