WWE Raw ratings drop for first night of Superstar Shake-up
The Raw Superstar Shake-up episode last night drew another disappointing rating with 2.67 million viewers, down nine percent from the Raw after WrestleMania.
For a comparison, the similar edition of the show last year did 3.62 million viewers, meaning a year-to-year drop of 26 percent.
Worse, with the NBA playoffs starting, traditionally it would be next week through the end of the playoffs that the show will be doing its lowest numbers of the year until football season.
The good news is that the rating held up better than usual with only a 7.8 percent first-to-third hour drop.
Raw was seventh for the night on cable, trailing two NBA games and four news shows. The game that went against Raw until the last 20 minutes did 2.85 million viewers. A game in the same time slot last year did 3.65 million viewers.
Women held up better than men, as the first-to-third hour drop was only 1.5 percent for women 18-49 and 9.2 percent for men 18-49. Teenage girls actually rose 10 percent from hour one to three, and that’s a demo that usually drops 20 to 40 percent in the third hour. Teenage boys were up 9 percent as well.
So whether it was the mystery of who Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins’ partner would be, or Becky Lynch having a match, that hour did far better with women and teenagers than usual.

- 8 p.m. 2.76 million viewers
- 9 p.m. 2.69 million viewers
- 10 p.m. 2.55 million viewers
