WWE Raw moving back to three hours upon Netflix debut

WWE Raw will be three hours once again.

In Monday’s Daily Update, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Raw on Netflix will also have a running time of three hours when it premieres on January 6.

“While everyone expects this, it was confirmed by someone who is a key player in WWE that Raw will be three hours come January to go along with SmackDown being three hours,” Meltzer wrote.

Raw had been three hours since 2012 up until October 7, when it reverted back to a two-hour format. The changes came as result of WWE’s shifting television deals, which has seen NXT move to the CW, SmackDown to USA, and Raw to Netflix. WWE and the USA Network reached a deal in May to extend Raw’s stay on the network through December 30.

WWE recently confirmed that SmackDown would be moving to the three-hour format starting on January 3. It had exclusively been a two-hour show since its debut on UPN back in 1999.
