WWE planning February 19 return to Saudi Arabia

A date appears to have been set for WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia next month.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast reported on Wednesday that WWE is planning to hold its next show in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, February 19. It will be the first time WWE has been to Saudi Arabia since last October’s Crown Jewel event.
The Saudi show taking place on Saturday is a change for WWE. The company’s recent Saudi events have been held on Thursdays.
When WWE’s pay-per-view schedule for 2022 was revealed, there were shows in February and October that were listed as “to be announced.” Those were placeholders for WWE’s two annual Saudi PPVs.
October’s Crown Jewel was the first WWE show to take place in Saudi Arabia since the COVID-19 pandemic began. WWE has held six shows in the country since announcing its 10-year agreement with the Saudi government in 2018.
