– Byron Saxton & Andrea D’marco did ring announcing/hosting.
– Neville vs Karl Anderson (w/Luke Gallows)
Crowd was really into booing Anderson, but really only popped whenever Neville did a “high risk” move. Neville hit the Red Arrow perfectly for the win. The crowd really got into the end and finish.
– Golden Truth & Darren Young (w/Backlund) vs Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Titus
Truth was off track on his rapping his theme to the entire entrance, so the crowd couldn’t get into it. There wasn’t really anything much to this match, and the crowd wasn’t into it. Truth hit his finish on Axel for the win. Post match, Andrea interviewed the winning team, asking what they’d do tonight to celebrate. Truth just kept saying What’s Up, Darren was about to speak, but Backlund told him he needs to work out more.
– Sin Cara vs Braun Strowman
This was nearly the same match as we’ve seen on Raw. SC did 2 suicide dives and Strowman just barely budged. SC went for the same springboard moonsault & was supposed to be caught, but he didn’t get enough air & didn’t rotate enough so he just bounced off Strowman, who picked him up & hit a full nelson slam for the win. It looked like it was supposed to be the same catch and powerslam as Monday, but Strowman adjusted on the fly. This wasn’t good.
– WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day (Xavier Woods and Big E) vs Enzo/Cass vs Shining Stars
Enzo did his entrance, which was super over, but didn’t do any other lines. Cass just did the SAWFT line & that’s it. Shining Stars were very Los Matadores-esque in this one, saying “Ole” & doing their matador stance. New Day hit their finish on one of the Shining Stars for the finish after Enzo/Cass were down on the floor. Enzo got worked over most of the match. Cass & Big E teased fighting, but barely were in there together.
– US Champion Rusev (w/Lana) vs. Roman Reigns
Massive ovation for Reigns. Lana ran down the audience & Rusev attacked Reigns. This was a really good hard-hitting match with a dumb ending as Rusev got DQ’d for constantly hitting Reigns in the gut with the ring bell. Reigns got up & hit the Spear to make fans happy before intermission. Reigns is super over with kids, taking pictures and signining autographs for quite a bit after the match. He didn’t sell the ring bell attack.
– Bayley/Sasha Banks/Alicia Fox vs Nia Jax/WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte/Dana Brooke w/Emma as ref
Sasha was barely in this one as Bayley got worked over the majority of the match. Nia & Alicia had a brief interaction, with Nia ragdolling her. Hot tag to Sasha & eventually hit a Banks Statement on Dana for the win. Charlotte looked fine, but there was a brief miscommunication where her & Bayley just froze, but quickly recovered.
– Cesaro vs Sheamus
This was basically the same match we’ve seen this last month, but Cesaro did hit a perfect 619. It was incredibly unexpected. Ending was slightly botched because Sheamus was standing on the top rope & lost his balance, landing on his feet & awkwardly going for a backbreaker. Cesaro fell down out of it & lifted Sheamus with pure strength into a Neutralizer for the win. End was messy, but the rest was entertaining.
– WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins vs. Sami Zayn
Rollins was over huge as this is his hometown. Zayn got a loud pop, but KO got booed pretty loudly. KO ran for the first part of the match, and both challengers beat up on him until they went after each other. Seth did a dive on KO. Sami hit a Blue Thunder Bomb on Seth, but kicked out.
KO worked over both guys & kept the other on the outside while doing it. Tables turned as they did a Tower of Doom spot. Owens hit double bowling balls and superkicks, but Seth answered with an enzugiri. Crowd went nuts. Finally, Seth hit a pedigree on Sami, but KO threw Rollins outside to pick up the win.
KO badmouthed Moline post match, and Rollins attacked him. He shook hands with Sami who gave him the ring, but Seth hit a Pedigree on Sami anyways. He grabbed the mic and said the Quad Cities will always be his home.
