WWE house show report 4-10 Belfast, Northern Ireland: Roman Reigns vs. Show, Daniel Bryan in six-man, Finn Balor vs. Neville

– Show started with a HHH hype video. Weird he’s a babyface at house shows and a heel on tv.

– Jojo is our ring announcer.

– Finn Balor def. Neville in possibly the best opening match I’ve ever seen live. Lots of nxt chants. Balor did a huge somersault dive to the outside. Neville went for his corkscrew 450 but Balor moved and hit the double foot stomp for the win. Handshake after the match. Balor was wrestling indy shows in Belfast last summer and now he’s here.

– WWE Tag Champions Cesaro & Tyson Kidd w/Nattie def. Kofi & Big E. w/ Xavier Woods. New day were booed. Kofi got on the mic and said, “You mean to cheer us. We’re spreading positivity.” Funny stuff. Decent match, big swing and the dropkick for the win. Xavier got on the mic and said the new day does not suck, he’s making an open challenge to anyone in the back. I thought this would be ryback, but…

– R-Truth def. Xavier Woods: It was fine, nothing special. They did a spot where Truth was over the 2nd rope in the 619 spot and Xavier was choking him. Kind of poor taste?

– Jimmy Uso def. Fandango w Rosa Mendes: This is a weird match. I’d forgotten Fandango existed. No Jay at ringside. Uso wins with a big splash in about 3 minutes.

– Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler & Erick Rowan def. Wade Barrett, Sheamus & Bray Wyatt: Lots of talent in this match…and rowan. Crowd were mixed on Sheamus. Bryan got one of the biggest pops of the night. The heels worked over Ziggler for the majority of the match. Built to the hot tag to Bryan for a long time, Bryan ran wild and hit the running knee on Barrett for the win. I don’t think the vintner was ever tagged in.

INTERMISSION

Natalya, Summer Rae & Emma def. Alicia Fox, Cameron & Rosa Mendes: There was a fan vote between a singles match or a 6-woman tag. Who are the babyfaces in this match? I don’t know. I still don’t know after watching the match. This match was pretty bad, passable at best when Nattie and Alicia Fox were in together. Nattie submitted Rosa with the sharpshooter.

– Damien Mizdow def. The Miz. This was really fun, Mizdow is crazy over. Most of this match was stalling and playing to the crowd. Miz is great in this gimmick. Skull crushing finale finish.

– Roman Reigns def. Big Show to continue their best of 264,703 series. I don’t even need to recap this match, you see it every week anyway. Reigns entrance is really cool live. Spear finish. Fit Finlay was out near me during the main event looking unimpressed, cleaning his glasses during the finish. Crowd was way more into Bryan than Reigns, even the kids, but reigns wasn’t booed.

Overall, I thought this was a good show. I enjoyed the opener most because I’m a huge fan of NXT and I’ve been following Devitt for years, but you could argue the 6 man tag was best.
