WWE confirms Watch Along for Wednesday’s NXT episode

WWE has confirmed that there will be a Watch Along broadcast for Wednesday’s episode of NXT.
Watch Along will stream live on the WWE Network, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook during NXT this Wednesday (October 2). Ricochet, Apollo Crews, Kassius Ohno, Bianca Belair, Keith Lee, Jordan Myles, Rachael Evers, Chelsea Green & Deonna Purrazzo, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Rik Bugez, Jordan Omogbehin, Mansoor, Malcolm Bivens, and Brendan Vink are advertised to appear.
This is the first time WWE has done a Watch Along for NXT. The second-screen show has aired on YouTube and WWE’s social media channels during main roster pay-per-views in the past, with wrestlers and WWE personalities reacting to the show. Watch Along doesn’t show video of the event that they’re watching.
There will also be a half-hour pre-show for Wednesday’s NXT episode. It will be hosted by Charly Caruso, Sam Roberts, and Pat McAfee and will air on the WWE Network, WWE.com, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter starting at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time.
NXT is airing live on USA Network for its full two hours starting this Wednesday. It’s also the first week NXT will go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite. Both shows are airing from 8-10 p.m. Eastern.
This Wednesday’s NXT will have “limited commercial interruption.” Here’s what’s been announced for the episode:
- NXT Champion Adam Cole defending against Matt Riddle
- NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler defending against Candice LeRae
- NXT Tag Team Champions Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish defending against The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford)
- Johnny Gargano vs. Shane Thorne
