WWE confirms NXT to USA Network, will air live from Full Sail

NXT’s move to the USA Network is now official.
It was announced this morning that WWE and USA Network have reached an agreement for NXT to begin airing live weekly on USA starting on September 18. The show will be two hours long each week and will air from 8-10 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesdays.
NXT will continue to take place from Full Sail University.
WWE sent out an email announcing that — when the move begins — NXT will be made available on demand on the WWE Network every Thursday at 8 p.m. Eastern. It was noted that TakeOver events will continue to air live exclusively on WWE Network.
Triple H responded to NXT going to USA: “Can’t describe this announcement in any other word than PROUD. Proud of everyone involved from day one. Proud you’ve let your voice be heard and carried the banner of this brand. Proud you’ve loudly & clearly said #WeAreNXT. And I’m proud to say, we’re just getting started.”
Starting on September 18 means that there will be two NXT on USA episodes before AEW TV begins airing on TNT. The shows will go head-to-head starting on October 2.
“The move to USA Network provides an opportunity to deepen our relationship with NBCUniversal and further build the NXT brand,” Vince McMahon said in a press release. “Over the long term, our goal is to develop a following that can be monetized to the same level as our flagship programs, Raw and SmackDown.”
“USA Network and WWE have one of the longest and most successful partnerships in television history,” Chris McCumber, President, Entertainment Networks — USA and SYFY said. “As the No. 1 cable entertainment network, we’re excited to add NXT to our weekly lineup alongside powerhouse flagship Raw and to bring a new generation of Superstars to a wide audience.”
