WWE confirms Clash of Champions for September 27

WWE has officially confirmed when its next pay-per-view will be taking place.
It was announced during Payback tonight that Clash of Champions will stream live on the WWE Network on Sunday, September 27.
A video that aired during Payback first listed Clash of Champions as taking place on its originally scheduled date of September 20, but the PPV was then promoted for September 27 and WWE has confirmed that September 27 is the correct date. The September 27 PPV date is also included in WWE’s contract with the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre was featured in the advertisement for Clash of Champions. McIntyre wasn’t in action at Payback tonight following a storyline on last Monday’s Raw where Randy Orton gave him three punt kicks. Keith Lee instead defeated Orton at Payback. WWE issued a storyline update on McIntyre’s condition tonight, claiming that McIntyre “sustained a hairline jaw fracture” from Orton’s punts.
Clash of Champions will be the third PPV to take place at the Amway Center with the WWE ThunderDome. SummerSlam and Payback were held at the Amway Center on back-to-back Sundays.
