“We are excited to bring both Friday Night SmackDown and Clash At The Castle: Scotland to our amazing fans in Scotland at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow this June,” WWE President Nick Khan was quoted as saying in the press release. “The world will see that this is one of the UK’s best venues and Scottish crowds are some of the loudest, craziest and most passionate on the planet.”

The PLE was first announced during Monday’s Raw, with the location and venue being withheld until the following day.

Scotland is home to several main roster WWE stars including Drew McIntyre, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Piper Niven, and Nikki Cross. NXT talent from Scotland includes Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang) and Noam Dar.

Clash at the Castle was last held in September of 2022 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Roman Reigns defeated McIntyre in the main event to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

The first Clash at the Castle was a stadium show. This year’s edition is taking place in an arena.
