WWE Champion John Cena introduces New England Patriots NFL Draft pick

The new Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena made an appearance via video at Friday night’s NFL Draft.
Cena and actor Idris Elba were featured in ESPN and NFL Network’s coverage of night two of the 2025 NFL Draft, introducing the third round choice for the New England Patriots.
Noting that he was still dealing with the aftermath of WrestleMania 41 and could not be in Green Bay, Wisconsin in person, Cena was part of an introduction video for the Patriots that pitched to Green Bay for their first selection in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Washington State wide receiver Kyle Williams.
Cena is a West Newbury, Massachusetts native, with the Patriots playing their home games in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The Patriots chose four players in the first two days of the 2025 NFL Draft, all on the offensive side of the ball.
Cena appeared on Friday’s WWE SmackDown, five days after defeating Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of night two of WrestleMania 41. His first title defense was confirmed for next month’s Backlash event on Friday’s show, with Randy Orton first in line to challenge the new champ.
