Becky Lynch books role in FX comedy pilot ‘Movers’

Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch has booked a role in a new comedy series in the works at FX.

Deadline reported today that FX has greenlit the pilot for a new show called “Movers,” which is from “Reno 911” creator/actor Robert Ben Garant and actress Cathy Shim. The show is set to star Garant and Shim along with Maz Jobrani, Darius Homayoun, Tanael “TJ” Joachim, Manny Montana, and Lynch (Rebecca Quin).

The show is described as “an improvised workplace comedy revolving around the erratic and codependent lives of a crew of movers.”

After being on hiatus for nearly a year, Lynch returned to WWE at WrestleMania this April. She focused on acting projects during her time away from the company, including upcoming appearances in Netflix’s “Happy Gilmore 2” movie and the Paramount+ series “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.”

“Should ‘Movers’ get picked up to series, it’s unknown what that will mean for her wrestling career,” Deadline wrote about Lynch.

Lynch has a title defense scheduled for WWE’s Evolution PLE in Atlanta this Sunday (July 13). She’s putting the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line in a triple threat match against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria.
