WWE announces two live events in Mexico for July

WWE is returning to Mexico this summer.

On Monday, WWE announced they are headed back to Mexico City’s Arena CDMX on Saturday, July 13. The promotion will then present a show the following night on Sunday, July 14 at the Arena Monterrey.

WWE is advertising the shows as “the only WWE Live events taking place in Mexico in 2024.”

It’s the first time WWE will be back in the country since it drew capacity crowds for two shows last year.

WWE’s live event in Mexico City last summer on July 22 drew a capacity crowd of over 15,000. The event was headlined by Roman Reigns defending the WWE Universal Championship against Rey Mysterio. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Shotzi in a triple threat match, Cody Rhodes vs. Damian Priest, and Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler also took place on the show.

WWE’s trip to Monterrey last year was also quite successful, drawing a capacity crowd of around 9500 for a show headlined by Seth Rollins defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Dominik Mysterio. The LWO vs. Imperium, Becky Lynch vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Natalya, and Matt Riddle vs. The Miz also took place on the show.
