WWE: Becky Lynch expected to miss ‘several months’ with separated shoulder

WWE has announced that Becky Lynch is “expected to be out several months” after suffering a shoulder injury.

Lynch suffered the injury during a Raw Women’s title match with Bianca Belair at SummerSlam on July 30.

Opening Monday’s Raw with her arm in a sling, Lynch cut a promo confirming that she had in fact suffered a separated shoulder in the SummerSlam match with Belair. After the two had feuded for most of the last year, Lynch and Belair mended fences on Raw.

In an angle designed to write Lynch out of storylines for the foreseeable future, Lynch was laid out in a backstage segment involving the Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY trio. Belair ran from the ring to backstage to make the save, but was too late.

WWE then announced on their social media platforms that Lynch would be out of action, crediting the attack by Bayley, Kai, and SKY with exacerbating the shoulder injury.
