Women’s United States title tournament continues on next WWE SmackDown

The road to crowing the first-ever Women’s United States Champion continues next Friday.
It was announced on SmackDown that the final opening round match of the tournament will take place on next week’s show. Naomi will battle Tiffany Stratton and Elektra Lopez to determine the final semifinal spot of the tournament.
Friday’s show saw Michin successfuly defeat Piper Niven and Lash Legend. Despite Chelsea Green attempting to interfere, Michin scored the win after hitting a senton on Piper Niven. She will now face the winner of next week’s final opening round match.
Green is already slated for the semifinals, where she will take on Bayley. The finals of the tournament will take place at Saturday Night’s Main event on December 14 in Unionville, New York.
WWE announced the introduction of the championship earlier this month. On Monday’s Raw, a similar title, the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title, was revealed. Details on determining the first champion has yet to be announced.
